Affliction, the Holy Bible says shall not rise a second
time. I believe every word of God no matter where I find myself, in the valley
or at the top of the mountain. I have been through both and sure know that even
at the mountaintop, the deceiver, that old serpent can yet appear. Remember he
tested Christ there. Also, in the valley, in my lowest moments, God is still
present! Remember the Valley of Dry Bones he showed Ezekiel.
Let's hit the road more clearly on the subject matter for
this edition. It could be a dangerous thing for someone to be in the house of
God without knowing the God of the house. The boy Samuel was unable to
recognise the voice of God despite being trained there for years.
That is for a kid anyway. But for President Jonathan, an
adult, he can decipher which is which. And like Adam and Eve, Jonathan and his
dear wife, Patience understands the sound of his voice. This time, it’s not in
the Garden of Eden but in the Garden City of Port Harcourt.
When the 'deceiver' first appeared as a friend, though an
enemy in disguise, our President and symbol of our modern day Adam and Eve
believed every word of his without running a background check on this midnight
visitor. It was through Dame Patience, our Eve that, Nyesom Wike; the
all-knowing mafia of Rivers PDP penetrated Jonathan, her husband. I no call am
devil but he could symbolize that for the sake of analogy. So, please don't
crucify me. Anyway, Jesus has already taken that place on the cross that I may
escape same.
I am amazed when my friends in PDP try to hide behind veiled
ignorance and sheer disregard for the truth, to believe that the governorship
candidate of their party, Barrister Nyesom Wike will be able to defeat Dr.
Dakuku Peterside, the APC candidate just because they achieved a suspicious
victory last Saturday during the presidential polls. Is it based on his
popularity or based on the support he enjoyed before from the Presidency? If it
were just on his popularity, no wahala! But I think they are still living in
the memories of the past when he enjoyed unfettered support of the powers that
be as well as the security agencies.
The simple truth is that first, President Jonathan whom he
claimed to have been fighting for, even though we know better, has washed his
hands off any attempt to further subvert the will of the people through
violence and electoral fraud.
Jonathan knows the danger in fighting the incoming government,
which is not just the superior will of the people but the Will of God. He is
not interested in challenging his defeat in Court. Jonathan says he has been
caged for 16 years and desires to go back home to rest. Though he now has many
shoes unlike in the beginning.
The 'luckiest' Nigerian as he claims is tired of deception
by those who caused his failures. Jonah does not want to be swallowed again by
the fish if he refuses to do God's bidding. He is wiser than the serpent now.
Some of my Ijaw cousins argue that since Dakuku did not
support Jonathan's reelection, then Ijaws should not vote for him. Its just
laughable! How can they say that when out of about 2 million registered voters,
Jonathan secured 1.4 million votes against APC's paltry 69,000 votes? Does it
mean the PDP is confirming that there was no election? If not, how come that
even in Dakuku's polling unit, ward and Local Government, Jonathan won? Abeg,
they should come up with something better. Do these people really represent the
interest of the Ijaws or their selfish interest? So, to support Nyesom Wike is
a way of pay back for Dakuku? Who in the first place caused the coming of APC
to Rivers state and in turn, opposition? Jonathan and his wife now know better.
Mama Peace had publicly declared that if Buhari won, they
would be made to go to prison. She said she would not want to take food to her
husband in prison. Now, that Buhari won the election and Jonathan has
congratulated him, don't these day dreamers see that the man wants to secure
his freedom. He has already negotiated for his freedom by his total surrender.
Mama Peace herself has also congratulated Mrs. Aisha Buhari, the incoming First
Lady. Who says Dame Patience no know wisdom?
Jonathan and his wife know that they would be accorded more
respect if they just forgot about Aso Rock.
Let's look at it this way: If Wike wins with their support,
then he would be under immunity and be saved from going to jail as he had
threatened Gov. Amaechi and his group. If Wike is protected and Mama Peace and
her husband are not, immunity stripped from May 29, then they would have
succeeded in sacrificing themselves for him? Na waao! Who is fooling who here?
Jonathan and his wife as well as other close friends and
partners in power know that the best option is to appease Amaechi by either
supporting Dakuku, his candidate or by staying clear of Rivers governorship
tussle.
I won't be surprised to hear tomorrow that Mama Peace has
made peace with Amaechi and thrown her weight behind Dakuku. After all,
sometimes we make mistakes when the colors of power becloud us.
I hear the president has asked that all security details
attached to those close to his family for the purpose of the elections should
be withdraw. Ghen ghen! I also hear that the PDP is also calling for the
transfer of the Rivers State Resident Electoral Commission, Mrs. Gezila Khan.
See wahala.
PDP don finish with
her last Saturday afterall she was brought from Otuoke just to deliver her
brother. She didn't come here for any Ikwerre governor. But before she goes,
the people who paid her will tell how much. They paid her. Its in their blood
to spill the beans when a deal goes sour.
Madam REC is now. In between the devil and the deep blue sea. Pharaoh
and his warriors are coming behind, the Red Sea is raging in front and the
Israelites are in between. I sincerely hope this time, her Moses, her liberator;
the President would be able to deliver her! Am just saying.
In all, Jonathan cannot be deceived a second time. He knows
the voice of the devil. I end on this note, which is a word of wisdom for these
blind believers of a demi god, that where as the first Adam died with his
bride, the second Adam died for his bride.
Jonathan, in this second deception tactics would rather save
his wife from jail by supporting Dakuku than allow both go to jail by being in
opposition.
